Family Travel from the Very Start – Travel with Ease
A vacation with the whole family is full of anticipation – and at Flamurtari Travel, we do everything we can to ensure that relaxation for both adults and children begins before take-off. As a family-friendly airline, the well-being of your children is particularly close to our hearts. To ensure you can embark on your flight together completely relaxed and perfectly prepared, we have summarized all the important information and guidelines for you here.
Age Regulations and Tariffs for Babies & Infants (INF)
Special safety and booking regulations apply to our smallest passengers under two years of age:
-
Traveling on Lap: Babies under 2 years old (infants) travel safely on the lap of an adult accompanying person and are secured with a special, complimentary loop belt.
-
Care Ratio: A maximum of one baby may fly per adult person (minimum age 18 years; for family members, a minimum age of 16 years is sufficient).
-
Age Limit During the Journey: If your child turns two years old during the journey (between the outbound and return flight), they will require their own seat from that point on for safety reasons and must be booked as a child.
-
Safety on Board: To ensure the highest safety standards, the total number of babies on board may not exceed 10% of the aircraft's total seating capacity. Early booking is therefore recommended.
Age Regulations and Provisions for Children (CHD)
For children aged two and older, we have clear guidelines for a safe flight:
-
Own Seat: Children aged 2 to 11 years travel in their own seat at a reduced child fare.
-
Age Groups Under 5 Years: Infants under five years of age may only travel when accompanied by an adult, without exception.
-
Children from 5 to 14 Years: Children in this age range travel accompanied by an adult person (over 18 years old). If this person is not one of the parents, the accompanying person must present the child's birth certificate, the child's passport, a copy of the parents' passports, and a power of attorney signed by the parents. An authorized accompanying person may look after a maximum of 10 children.
Strollers, Buggies, and Hand Luggage
We transport your mobility aids for children easily and practically:
Standard Buggies and Strollers (up to 10 kg): These can be conveniently taken right up to the gate at most airports. Immediately before boarding, you hand the buggy over to our loading staff. After landing, depending on the airport, you will receive it back directly at the aircraft steps or at the baggage conveyor belt in the terminal. Note: At some airports (such as Stuttgart), strollers must be checked in advance at the oversized baggage counter.
Compact Models (“Pocket Buggies”): If your buggy folds up extremely compactly and is packed like a regular piece of hand luggage, it may be taken directly into the cabin. Models over 10 kg must be checked in as normal baggage at the check-in counter. If you are transferring, please inform our ground staff in good time whether you need the buggy during the stopover or only at the final destination.
Our Checklist for Your Smooth Family Start
With the right preparation, traveling is simply more relaxed. Keep the following points in mind before departure:
-

-
Reserve Seats: Secure your preferred seats early on so that the family is guaranteed to sit next to each other on board.
-
Use Online Check-in: Check-in conveniently online starting approx. 48 hours before departure to minimize waiting times at the airport.
-
Prepare Children's Entertainment: Download favorite audiobooks, videos, games, or digital coloring templates to your devices while still at home.
